Computer screens, Mobile Phones, Television sets, Streaming Platforms and digital devices. Nowadays we access entertainment, music, communication and more through a portal of technology. For our first major dance performance event for 2023 we are looking at taking those movies, musical artists, internet memes and more to the stage with UPstaged | Media in Motion!
Each instructor has selected an idea to create a dance showcase featuring elements of their theme. Join them as we take these ideas and put them into motion live on stage!

Unification Day 23 Sem 1
Inter University Society Crew Dance Battle
12pm – 6pm | Saturday April 8th 2023
@ 80 Proof – $10 entry with free drink included

After a triumphant return in late 2022, Unification Day is back for sem 1 for 2023! 5 University Dance Societies will create crews to battle it out on the floor to bring honour to their societies. Last Unification day resulted in a tie between MODsoc and SXP. Will one of these societies prove their dominance, or will UTS, D2MG or MDA come through and take the trophy for this semester!

Intro to Vogue Femme Elements w Tony
Workshop 13th Thu 8:10pm followed by
5 Week Course starting 20th Thursday
Tony will be coming back to XO to teach an Intro to Vogue Femme Elements workshop followed by a 5 week course! If you’re interested in the style or learning more about the history, movement and dance, come down to try out the workshop or dive deeper by joining the course! Limited spots, enjoy!
Vogue Femme is a performative art form of the Ballroom Scene, popularised in the 1990s, originating from the 1960s through a Black and Brown Trans and Queer culture.

Beginners Waacking Course w Xuan
Saturdays 7pm | Starting 15th April
Xuan will be starting a 4 week course to teach beginner waacking. This course is designed for everyone who want to learn how to waack or to improve waacking technique, so come down and learn some dance with Xuan! Limited spots!

Crossover Kid’s Dance Sunday Holiday WEeks
For this holiday weeks XO will have 3 weeks of open kids class! Join any week you are free for $20 or sign up for 3 weeks for $50! April 9th, 16th or 23rd! Enjoy
We offer a free first week trial where you are able to take all or any of the classes on that day, so feel free to try things out and see what your child enjoys the most!
